merging multiple rss-feeds into one

I recommend using Yahoo Pipes  or xFruits.

The following might work for some as well but didn't work for my intention to merge all pics and video favorites into one feed.
most of them just showed the title and no content (pic or video) :

apps on my iPhone today

Some people have been asking for this...

These are the apps i have installed today.
I have some more that i like but don't use so often.
Actually i cleaned up a bit and deleted some.

The second pic shows all iPhone apps i have in iTunes - that's a little more than i have installed on the iPhone itself and just a glimpse of all apps i have ever installed. I cleaned up and deleted most of them just a few days ago.

Usually i install, test and delete 1-10 apps per week. Only some make it for a longer time ;)

the garden this weekend

fruit is growing (raspberries, red and black currants, blackberries)
one side is now fully overgrown, i wish it was the other side ;))
the lawn is a mess, but i got used to it (bad ground and nothing grows anymore where luke peed)
the pool is okay and the kids have a lot of fun in it, even though it is out of shape and looks like it's going to explode soon.
oh and yes BBQ of course, but no pics, just joy ;P

comparing expono to ipernity

A few days ago i got an invite to expono - which looks like just another photo-sharing site at first sight. It has a few features ipernity doesn't, but it's not always a question of features.

I have 0 invites left, if you want to check expono out, send me your email address please

Here are some screenshots (ipernity) - also you can view them here (expono).

What i like about it (that ipernity is missing):

  • getsatisfaction.com support
  • twitter and facebook integration
  • clean website design, look and feel
  • nice javascript slideshow with keyboard navigation
  • album & picture sharing with passwords for non-members
  • the credit idea & rating pictures
  • find duplicates
  • photo stack
  • inbox look and feel / distinction of system and real messages
  • viewers can filter and sort pictures instantly
  • the activity dashboard
  • see featurelist for details

What i don't like or miss about it:

  • not enough space: only 1GB of free space
  • too expensive: pro accounts are 45$ with 10GB a year, at ipernity you can get 10GB a month for 24€ a year, i think even flickr is cheaper
  • feature and icon-overload for people that are not used to it
  • quite new, so the community is missing

Actually i feel home at ipernity and i do not want to "move" again, even though i could use some of exponos features. Some of them are on my personal wishlist for ipernity for some time now.
