Ob ein Unternehmen aus dem B2B-Bereich kommt oder eher den Endverbraucher im Auge hat, spielt keine Rolle. Die Kunden tauschen sich in jedem Fall aus. Die Marke ist das, was ihr Publikum über sie denkt oder fühlt. Im Netz ist die Marke vor allem, was die Kunden über sie sagen. Wenn ein "Freund" bei Facebook, Twitter oder sonst wo sagt, er habe den besten Anbieter für ein Produkt gefunden, glauben ihm viele. Immer mehr Kunden erwarten sogar, dass man Informationen und Meinungen über Anbieter im Internet findet. Man kann das ignorieren und das Feld dem Wettbewerb überlassen oder sich damit auseinandersetzen und versuchen, so gut wie möglich mitzumischen.
